John Ziegler Show Announces Move to 7p.m.!!

KFI-AM radio announced today that the John Ziegler Show will be replacing the Phil Hendrie Show starting on February 21st. The John Ziegler Show will be heard on KFI from 7-10p.m., while the Hendrie Show will be moved to the sports station, XTRA 570 AM, where it will still be heard at 7p.m., except for nights in which the Lakers are playing.

Here is a press statement that John Ziegler released earlier today.

"I am excited to be moving the show to such a great time slot with an amazing lead-in like 'John & Ken.' I am also glad to get the chance to take on the new challenges that go with such a competitive environment. KFI program director Robin Bertolucci deserves a lot of credit for having the guts to bring me here to replace George Noory from 10p.m.-1 a.m just over a year ago. She deserves equal praise for having the confidence in me to replace a local legend like Phil Hendrie with my show, though the ratings of the past year have certainly made that decision a lot easier. I look forward to once again proving that her choice to back me was an excellent one. While I will miss the late night audience which has been extremely good to me, I will certainly not miss getting to sleep at 3 a.m. and hope that this move will be a boon to both my career and my quest to get a 'life.' While I am ecstatic that I have been given the opportunity to take over two very popular syndicated time slots in just over a year, I think that I will wait a least a couple of years before I decide to knock off Rush."

For those Rush fans ready to storm the station, JZ was clearly JOKING with that last statement.
